Ecert provides essential online training solutions to care homes and care groups throughout the UK, helping care providers maintain compliance with CQC regulations in a simple and affordable way. With an established customer base, a product that clients regularly renew, and a significant market opportunity, we are looking to expand our sales team to reach more providers.
Key Responsibilities
You will primarily engage with UK care home owners and managers via phone, identifying the key decision-makers and understanding their training requirements. Your role involves presenting the ecert solution and closing sales efficiently. While marketing will supply inbound leads for you to convert, the majority of your sales pipeline will be generated through your own proactive outbound calling efforts. This position suits someone who thrives on high call volumes and enjoys managing the entire sales process independently.
Daily tasks include making a high volume of outbound calls to UK care providers using both company-provided and self-generated lists, supported by email and LinkedIn outreach. You will respond promptly to marketing inquiries, aiming to close these leads quickly as an additional source of sales. Managing the full sales cycle is essential—from discovery and conducting brief screen-share demos to quoting, overcoming objections, and closing deals. Identifying the right contacts such as owners, registered managers, and training leads at single-site and multi-site care groups is critical.
Maintaining accurate records in CRM systems like CloudTalk and HubSpot is required, including detailed notes, next steps, and weekly sales forecasts. Once a sale is completed, you will hand over the customer to the onboarding team and return your focus to prospecting and closing new business. Providing feedback on common objections and successful tactics will help refine the team’s sales approach.
Required Qualifications
Candidates should have at least two years of outbound phone sales experience targeting UK or US businesses, such as roles in lead generation companies, BPO sales teams, or B2B telesales environments. A proven ability to close deals independently, rather than simply setting appointments, is essential. Strong spoken English skills and confidence in engaging UK business owners in natural, persuasive conversations are required.
You must be proficient in professional written communication for follow-up emails and LinkedIn messaging. Experience running brief screen-share demos, handling objections effectively, and confidently asking for the sale is important. Comfort with spending most of the workday on the phone and resilience to handle rejection positively are key traits. Discipline in CRM usage, particularly with HubSpot and dialler software, is highly desirable. No prior care-sector experience is necessary as full training on the product, market, and CQC requirements will be provided.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Success in this role is measured by daily calls and conversations with decision-makers, demos booked and conducted, demo-to-sale conversion rates, new customers closed, and monthly revenue targets achieved.
We foster an open, collaborative culture where team members are encouraged to take responsibility, contribute ideas, and engage fully from day one. Our core values emphasize doing the right thing, agility in adapting and improving, curiosity for continuous learning, striving for excellence, caring deeply about our work and customers, and taking ownership of responsibilities and mistakes.
The role offers a competitive base salary plus uncapped commission on every sale closed. You will receive comprehensive product and sales training from the start and join a supportive team where your ideas are valued, ownership is encouraged, and your contributions are recognized.
