Ecert provides mandatory online training to care homes and care groups across the UK, helping care providers stay compliant with CQC regulations in a simple and affordable way. With an established customer base and a product that clients regularly renew, there remains significant potential to grow by winning new providers in this expanding market.
Key Responsibilities
You will spend the majority of your time engaging directly with UK care home owners and managers via phone. Your role involves identifying the key decision-makers, understanding their training requirements, presenting the ecert solution, and closing sales. While marketing will supply some inbound leads for you to convert, most of your sales pipeline will be generated through your own outbound calling efforts. The sales process is typically short and transactional, with many deals closing on the first call or after a single demo. You will manage the entire sales cycle independently, including discovery, conducting brief screen-share demos, quoting, overcoming objections, and finalizing the sale. Maintaining accurate records in CRM systems such as CloudTalk and HubSpot is essential, including logging calls, deals, notes, next steps, and weekly forecasts. Once a sale is completed, you will hand over the customer to the onboarding team and return your focus to prospecting. Providing feedback on common objections and successful tactics will help the team refine the sales approach.
Required Qualifications
Candidates should have at least three years of experience in outbound phone sales to UK or US businesses, such as roles in lead generation companies, BPO sales teams, or B2B telesales environments. A proven track record of closing deals independently—not just setting meetings—is essential. Excellent spoken English and the confidence to engage in natural, persuasive conversations with UK business owners are required. Strong written communication skills are also important for follow-up emails and LinkedIn messaging. You must be comfortable running short screen-share demos, handling objections, and confidently asking for the sale. The role demands resilience and the ability to maintain high call volumes daily, learning from rejection and persisting. Discipline in CRM usage is necessary, with experience in HubSpot and dialler systems considered a plus. No prior care-sector experience is needed, as full training on the product, market, and CQC requirements will be provided.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Success in this role is measured by daily calls and conversations with decision-makers, demos booked and conducted, conversion rates from demo to sale, new customers closed, and monthly revenue targets achieved. The company fosters an open, collaborative environment where employees are encouraged to take responsibility, contribute ideas, and engage from day one. Core expected behaviors include agility, curiosity, excellence, care for work and colleagues, and ownership of responsibilities and mistakes.
The compensation package includes a competitive base salary with uncapped commission on every sale closed. Comprehensive product and sales training will be provided from the outset. You will join a supportive team culture where ideas are welcomed, ownership is encouraged, and contributions are recognised.
