Back End Developer

SOFRIX is seeking a skilled Backend Developer to join its engineering team at the Faisalabad office. This is an on-site position with working hours from 5:00 PM to 2:00 AM. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and scaling APIs and server-side systems, contributing to the growth and stability of SOFRIX’s backend infrastructure. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain robust backend systems with a focus on performance and scalability.
- Design and implement APIs using Node.js and TypeScript, ensuring clean, tested, and maintainable code.
- Utilize frameworks such as NestJS, Fastify, and Express to build efficient server-side applications.
- Manage database interactions using ORMs like Prisma and TypeORM.
- Design and optimize PostgreSQL schemas, queries, and indexing strategies.
- Build RESTful APIs and microservices architectures to support various application needs.
- Implement authentication, authorization, and ensure API security best practices.
- Work with caching mechanisms, queues, and background job processing to enhance system responsiveness and reliability.
- Take ownership of services end-to-end, from design through deployment, with a strong understanding of system behavior under load.

Required Qualifications
- A minimum CGPA of 3.0 is required. Graduates from FAST, COMSATS, and NUST are preferred, though practical experience and demonstrated skills are paramount.
- Extensive hands-on experience in backend development, particularly with Node.js and TypeScript.
- Proficiency with backend frameworks including NestJS, Fastify, and Express.
- Experience working with ORMs such as Prisma and TypeORM.
- Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL including schema design, query optimization, and indexing.
- Solid understanding of REST API development and microservices.
- Familiarity with authentication, authorization, and API security protocols.
- Experience implementing caching, queues, and background job systems.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
