This full-time, on-site Back End Developer position is based in Pakistan. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the server-side logic, APIs, databases, and integrations that power Zyvor’s web and mobile applications. Daily tasks include writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code, optimizing application performance and security, and collaborating closely with front-end developers, designers, and product managers to deliver seamless and cohesive solutions. The role also involves participating in technical architecture discussions, conducting code reviews, performing testing, and troubleshooting production issues.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain server-side application logic, APIs, and database schemas to support client projects.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards.
- Optimize application performance, security, and scalability.
- Collaborate effectively with front-end developers, designers, and product managers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
- Participate in architectural discussions, code reviews, and testing processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of development practices and support enhancements to existing platforms and systems.

Required Qualifications

- Strong experience in back-end web development, including working with server-side frameworks, RESTful APIs, and database design.
- Proficiency in at least one modern backend language or runtime environment such as Node.js, PHP, or a similar technology.
- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and design patterns to build maintainable and scalable codebases.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with front-end teams to ensure smooth integration of user-facing elements with server-side logic.
- Knowledge of relational and/or NoSQL databases, version control systems (e.g., Git), and basic DevOps practices related to deployment and monitoring.
- Familiarity with security best practices, performance optimization techniques, and debugging tools in production environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced product development environment.
