Back End Developer

Target Dial is a company specializing in AI voice agents and lead generation systems tailored for service businesses across North America. We are seeking a skilled backend developer to take full ownership of our technology stack. This role involves maintaining system stability, delivering rapid feature releases, and acting as the gatekeeper for all production changes to ensure high-quality deployments.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the backend infrastructure, including Python services, Supabase (Postgres), and AWS components such as EC2, Lambda, and CloudWatch.
- Develop and sustain integrations with third-party platforms like GoHighLevel, Retell (voice AI), Twilio, Stripe, and Gmail.
- Utilize AI-assisted coding tools daily to write, review, test, and refine code contributions.
- Oversee all code changes through GitHub pull requests to prevent production issues.
- Perform data maintenance tasks including deduplication, synchronization jobs, and enforcing security filters.

Required Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of professional experience in backend development using Python and SQL.
- Daily use of AI coding assistants such as Claude Code or Cursor is essential.
- Proven hands-on experience with AWS services, including the ability to interpret logs and independently troubleshoot issues.
- Experience building API integrations; familiarity with telephony or voice AI platforms is a significant advantage.
- Strong written communication skills in English, with the ability to provide clear asynchronous updates without prompting.
- Availability to overlap 2 to 3 hours daily with Toronto morning hours (Eastern Time).
