Backend Developer (AWS + Node JS)

CodeTeck is seeking a talented Node.js Backend Developer to join its team at the NFC Housing Society office in Lahore. The ideal candidate will have over two years of experience and a strong background in developing scalable backend applications, particularly using Node.js and AWS services such as EC2 and Lambda. This is a full-time, onsite position with working hours from 11 AM to 8 PM, Monday through Friday. The role involves building and maintaining backend systems, optimizing cloud infrastructure, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain backend services by designing, implementing, and optimizing Node.js applications to ensure high performance and responsiveness. Utilize AWS services, including EC2 and Lambda, to deploy, manage, and scale applications effectively. Set up and maintain AWS infrastructure components such as VPCs, subnets, and security groups, while implementing serverless functions using AWS Lambda. Design and optimize database schemas and queries, working with databases like MongoDB, DynamoDB, MySQL, or PostgreSQL. Develop and maintain RESTful APIs to support front-end and mobile applications, incorporating authentication and authorization mechanisms such as OAuth and JWT. Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, and implement unit and integration tests alongside CI/CD pipelines. Ensure security best practices are followed in code, data storage, and AWS configurations, while monitoring system logs to identify and resolve security issues. Collaborate with front-end developers, DevOps engineers, and other team members through code reviews, agile ceremonies, and project planning sessions.

Required Qualifications

Strong proficiency in Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript is essential. Extensive experience with AWS services, particularly EC2, Lambda, S3, and RDS, is required. A solid understanding of serverless architecture and microservices design patterns is necessary. Proficiency in working with both relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB) is expected. Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline, along with experience using infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation, is important. Candidates should demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and optimize system performance. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment are also required.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes is preferred but not mandatory. The position offers a competitive monthly salary ranging from Rs100,000 to Rs120,000. Candidates must be able to reliably commute to the Lahore office or plan to relocate before starting work.
