Backend Developer

We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer to join our development team and contribute to scalable web and mobile application projects. The ideal candidate will have strong backend development expertise, excellent API development skills, and a thorough understanding of databases, authentication, security, and cloud deployment. This role requires hands-on experience with building and maintaining robust backend systems that support high-performance applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, maintain, and optimize scalable backend systems and server-side applications.
- Design and implement secure RESTful APIs for web and mobile platforms.
- Integrate frontend and mobile applications with backend services seamlessly.
- Design and manage relational and NoSQL databases ensuring data integrity.
- Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms including JWT, OAuth, and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
- Integrate third-party APIs and services such as payment gateways, email, SMS, maps, and notifications.
- Handle payment integrations like Stripe and manage related webhook functionalities.
- Develop efficient database schemas and optimize queries for performance.
- Implement server-side business logic, validations, error handling, and logging.
- Optimize backend performance including APIs and database queries.
- Manage cloud environments and application deployments.
- Troubleshoot backend issues and resolve production bugs promptly.
- Maintain clean, reusable, well-documented, and version-controlled code.
- Collaborate closely with frontend, mobile, QA, and project management teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Required Qualifications

- Strong proficiency in Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Python with FastAPI framework.
- Extensive experience with Express.js and/or NestJS frameworks.
- Proven expertise in REST API development and third-party API integrations.
- Solid knowledge of MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB database development and management.
- Skilled in database design, indexing, relationships, and query optimization.
- Experience with Redis caching and application-level caching strategies.
- Understanding of horizontal and vertical scaling techniques for backend systems.
- Familiarity with Blue-Green deployment strategies and system rollback procedures.
- Strong grasp of JWT, OAuth, authentication, authorization, and RBAC concepts.
- Knowledge of API security, validation, webhooks, and payment gateway integrations.
- Proficient with Git, GitHub, Postman, and API testing tools.
- Comfortable working in Linux/server environments and performing production debugging.
- Experience integrating backend services with Flutter and React Native mobile applications.

Preferred Qualifications and Additional Skills

- Experience with AWS cloud services including EC2, S3, RDS, CloudFront, and load balancers.
- Proficiency in Docker and containerized deployment workflows.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
- Knowledge of Nginx, domain management, DNS, SSL, and production environment configuration.
- Experience with WebSocket/Socket.IO for real-time applications.
- Familiarity with Firebase and push notification services.
- Understanding of microservices architecture, background jobs, and queue management.
- Ability to create Swagger/OpenAPI documentation and implement automated testing.
- Exposure to SaaS, marketplace, and subscription-based application development.

Experience

- 2 to 4+ years of professional backend development experience.
- Demonstrated ability to develop production-level APIs and backend systems.
- Experience working through full web and mobile application development lifecycles.
- Capability to understand existing codebases and independently troubleshoot technical issues.

Compensation

Monthly salary ranges from Rs70,000 to Rs100,000.
