At Melbrew Coffee, we are seeking a passionate and skilled Barista to join our team and become the heartbeat of our coffee bar. In this hands-on leadership role, you will craft world-class beverages, mentor junior staff, and uphold the Melbrew standard of excellence. This position is ideal for someone who truly lives and breathes coffee, bringing both expertise and creativity to every cup served.

Key Responsibilities

- Craft exceptional beverages: Pull perfect espresso shots, steam milk to velvety perfection, and create specialty drinks that delight and retain our guests.
- Maintain bar standards: Ensure consistency, quality, and adherence to Melbrew’s high standards during every service.
- Mentor junior baristas: Share your knowledge of brewing techniques, equipment handling, and café etiquette to inspire and develop the team.
- Contribute creatively: Bring fresh ideas to seasonal menus, new recipes, and limited-time offerings, adding energy and innovation to our beverage selection.
- Manage bar operations: Oversee inventory control, equipment maintenance, and hygiene standards to keep the bar running efficiently and safely.
- Collaborate effectively: Work closely with the café team and management to ensure smooth shifts and exceptional guest experiences.

Required Qualifications

- A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a barista, preferably within a specialty or third-wave coffee environment.
- Deep knowledge of coffee varieties and preparation methods, including espresso, filter coffee, ristretto, and lungo.
- Ability to perform well under pressure, maintaining composure and quality during busy periods.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering consistently excellent beverages and customer interactions.
- Proficiency in English to communicate effectively within the team and with customers.
- Experience of at least 3 years working with hot beverages is required.
