BIM Electrical Engineer

Key Responsibilities
The BIM Electrical Engineer will develop and manage detailed electrical BIM models for building and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications, standards, and multidisciplinary coordination requirements. Responsibilities include modeling power distribution systems, lighting, low-current systems, and associated electrical components. The role involves preparing and reviewing shop drawings and as-built documentation, identifying and resolving clashes and design issues through coordination with other disciplines. The engineer will work closely with project managers, design engineers, and BIM coordinators to support accurate scheduling, quantity take-offs, and construction deliverables. Maintaining data integrity across BIM models from LOD 100 to LOD 500 is essential. This position requires regular interaction with both local and international teams and adherence to established workflows and quality standards. The role is full-time and based onsite in Lahore.

Required Qualifications
Candidates must demonstrate strong BIM and CAD capabilities, with proficiency in software such as Revit (MEP/Electrical), AutoCAD, Navisworks, or equivalent coordination tools. A solid foundation in electrical engineering is essential, including knowledge of power distribution, lighting design, low-current systems, and familiarity with relevant international and local electrical codes and standards. Project coordination skills are critical, encompassing multidisciplinary clash detection, model review, documentation control, and effective collaboration with design and construction teams. Analytical and problem-solving abilities are required, with attention to detail and the capacity to interpret complex drawings and propose practical design and coordination solutions. Excellent communication and teamwork skills are necessary, including clear written and verbal communication, the ability to work within diverse, cross-border teams, and openness to feedback and continuous improvement.
