Bio Medical Engineer

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Bio Medical Engineer Manager to join our team in Karachi, Pakistan. This full-time, on-site position involves overseeing the maintenance and repair of hospital medical equipment, ensuring all devices across departments are functioning optimally. The role requires hands-on management of biomedical equipment servicing, guiding critical decisions on whether to repair or replace equipment, and maintaining detailed records of all activities. The position operates during the morning shift and offers a competitive salary range.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise the maintenance and repair of medical equipment within the hospital to ensure operational efficiency and patient safety.
- Coordinate and oversee biomedical equipment servicing across various departments, ensuring timely and effective support.
- Evaluate equipment conditions to make informed repair-versus-replacement decisions, optimizing resource utilization.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment status for compliance and reporting purposes.
- Collaborate with clinical and technical teams to address equipment-related issues and improve service delivery.
- Implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize equipment downtime and extend service life.

Required Qualifications

- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in biomedical engineering, with a preference for candidates having between 3 to 5 years of experience.
- Formal educational background in biomedical engineering or a closely related field.
- Proven ability to manage and supervise technical teams and coordinate maintenance activities in a healthcare environment.
- Strong understanding of hospital medical equipment, including troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance protocols.
- Competence in maintaining detailed documentation and records related to biomedical equipment servicing.
- Ability to make sound decisions regarding equipment repair or replacement based on technical assessments and cost considerations.
