Branch Manager

The Branch Manager at Mobilink Microfinance Bank Ltd. (MMBL) plays a critical role in driving the branch’s financial and service objectives by leading all branch functions with a focus on loan and deposit acquisition. This position demands effective planning and management within budget constraints to ensure the branch operates efficiently and achieves a sustainable balance between loans and deposits. The Branch Manager is responsible for overseeing operational and administrative activities, ensuring timely service delivery, and maintaining smooth branch operations while upholding the bank’s reputation and integrity.

Key Responsibilities

- Foster a positive work environment and team spirit aimed at meeting financial and service targets. Plan branch activities with an emphasis on acquiring loans and deposits while managing the assigned budget effectively.
- Achieve self-funding status by balancing loans and deposits, taking full accountability for the branch as a revenue-generating unit.
- Implement cost-control measures and promote frugality to align with the dynamics of the microfinance business.
- Act as a credit officer by facilitating loan approvals and ensuring compliance with lending policies.
- Manage all operational and administrative functions of the branch, ensuring smooth daily operations.
- Ensure the branch opens on time by 9:00 AM and closes according to the specified schedule, organizing procedures for seamless opening and closing with clear assignment of responsibilities.
- Optimize branch workflow and resource deployment to maximize productivity, conducting regular capacity planning and coordinating with the hub for resource requirements across all functions.
- Oversee the collection and recovery processes to maintain delinquency and loss levels within defined targets.
- Ensure all financial and functional transactions are executed efficiently while maintaining process integrity.
- Plan and manage cash flow to guarantee optimal availability for daily operations, avoiding excess idle cash.
- Arrange training programs to enhance the professional skills and leadership potential of branch staff.
- Conduct regular self-assessments and prepare the branch for internal, external, and regulatory audits, including those by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
- Uphold the bank’s reputation by ensuring system integrity and accurate financial reconciliation in all functional areas.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Commerce from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in a similar role.
