Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital & Research Centre is looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable Breast Care Nurse Navigator to join our multidisciplinary team. This role requires a professional who is passionate about breast cancer care and capable of guiding patients through every stage of their journey—from prevention and diagnosis to treatment, rehabilitation, and survivorship. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of clinical guidelines and holistic care principles, ensuring that patient management is evidence-based, culturally sensitive, and seamlessly integrated within the healthcare system.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide comprehensive nursing care to breast cancer patients, including education, counseling, and support throughout their treatment and recovery phases.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary care by liaising with oncologists, surgeons, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and effective patient management.
- Facilitate patient navigation through complex healthcare pathways, helping to reduce barriers and improve access to diagnostic and therapeutic services.
- Implement and promote evidence-based clinical guidelines and best practices in breast cancer care.
- Monitor patient progress and outcomes, adjusting care plans as necessary to optimize recovery and quality of life.
- Advocate for patients’ needs and preferences, ensuring culturally sensitive communication and support.
- Participate in community outreach and awareness programs to educate the public on breast cancer prevention and early detection.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.

Required Qualifications

- Registered Nurse with an active Pakistan Nursing Council (PNMC) license.
- Minimum of three years of professional experience as a registered nurse.
- Strong clinical knowledge of breast cancer care, including prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- Specialization in Oncology Nursing or Perioperative Nursing is highly desirable.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degrees will be considered advantageous.
- Previous experience working specifically as a Breast Care Nurse is preferred, demonstrating familiarity with patient navigation and multidisciplinary coordination.
