Building Inspector / Site Supervisor

ACE Properties, a subsidiary of the ACE Group of Companies, is seeking an experienced Building Inspector to join their team at the Kharian, Sarai Alamgir site. This role is full-time and site-based, requiring a strong presence on construction sites to ensure all activities comply with approved drawings, quality standards, and building bylaws.

The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of building construction from the grey structure phase through to final finishing. They will be responsible for inspecting construction work, enforcing bylaws, and maintaining high-quality standards throughout the project lifecycle. Attention to detail, sound technical judgment, and the ability to manage non-compliance issues effectively are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

- Enforce building bylaws, including building line, setbacks, ground coverage, FAR, and height regulations, ensuring no violations occur on site.
- Verify site conditions against approved drawings and maps, confidently addressing any discrepancies.
- Liaise effectively with contractors and clients regarding bylaw compliance.
- Supervise all civil and structural works such as layout, excavation, foundation, brickwork, RCC, shuttering, steel fixing, and concrete pouring.
- Check line, level, alignment, and plumb to ensure construction accuracy.
- Maintain quality control in accordance with drawings and specifications.
- Possess strong knowledge of building materials including cement, sand, aggregate, steel, bricks, blocks, and concrete mix ratios.
- Assess the quality, quantity, and proper usage of materials, including material testing and wastage control.
- Oversee finishing works such as plaster, flooring, tiling, painting, kitchen and bathroom installations, false ceilings, and other finishing materials like tiles, marble, granite, woodwork, aluminum, and glass.
- Ensure all finishing work meets quality standards and is handed over defect-free.
- Conduct daily site inspections and prepare detailed progress and inspection reports.
- Manage site labor including masons, carpenters, and other workers, while ensuring adherence to safety protocols.

Required Qualifications:

- Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) in Civil Engineering is mandatory.
- Minimum of 8 years of practical site experience in residential and/or commercial construction.
- Strong knowledge and application of building bylaws.
- Expertise in both grey structure and finishing phases of construction.
- Familiarity with market rates and construction cost estimation.
- Confident and assertive personality capable of making strict decisions on site.

Preferred Qualifications and Additional Skills:

- Ability to read and interpret AutoCAD drawings is preferred.
- Experience in managing diverse teams and maintaining safety standards on site.
