Business Analyst - Night Shift, Onsite Role

Point of IT is seeking a Technical Business Analyst to join our team in Lahore on an onsite basis. The role requires working hours from 8 PM to 5 AM PKT, aligning with Pacific Time hours, so candidates must be comfortable with this schedule. This position is customer-facing and involves understanding business requirements, analyzing application processes, and translating these needs into clear functional and technical specifications for development teams. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and communication skills, have a solid grasp of software development processes, and be comfortable collaborating directly with customers, developers, QA, and project teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Gather and analyze business and technical requirements from customers and stakeholders.
- Conduct requirement-gathering sessions and workshops to ensure comprehensive understanding.
- Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows.
- Translate business needs into clear, actionable functional requirements for development teams.
- Analyze existing applications, workflows, integrations, and business processes to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate closely with developers, QA, project managers, and customers throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Identify gaps, dependencies, risks, and impacts associated with proposed changes.
- Support backlog refinement, sprint planning, and other Agile activities.
- Clarify requirements and provide functional guidance to development and QA teams.
- Assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), testing, and validation of delivered functionality.
- Perform data analysis and basic SQL queries for validation and troubleshooting purposes.
- Understand APIs, integrations, data flows, and web-based applications to support technical discussions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date requirements and project documentation.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Business Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or in a similar role.
- Proven expertise in requirements gathering and functional analysis.
- Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience in preparing BRDs, FRDs, user stories, and process documentation.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of SQL, APIs, integrations, and web applications.
- Experience collaborating with development and QA teams.

Preferred Qualifications

- Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, and Confluence.
- Prior experience working directly with customers.
- Exposure to CRM, ERP, eCommerce, or other business applications is considered a plus.
