The Business Development Administrator plays a vital support role within the Business Development (BD) department, ensuring its smooth and efficient operation. This position involves managing accurate data entry, facilitating communication across various teams, providing administrative assistance, and coordinating internal resources to support strategic business objectives. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technologically adept, and works well in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative Support:
Provide assistance to the Business Development team by managing scheduling, preparing documentation, coordinating meetings, and handling follow-ups. Develop presentations, client-facing materials, and internal reports as needed. Maintain and organize shared files, templates, and records to ensure easy access and consistency.
Data Entry & CRM Management:
Accurately enter and update lead, client, and opportunity information in CRM systems such as Salesforce or HubSpot. Ensure all contact and deal data is complete and precise. Conduct regular data quality audits and resolve any discrepancies to maintain database integrity.
Cross-Functional Coordination:
Serve as a liaison between the BD team and other departments including marketing, operations, legal, and finance to facilitate seamless communication. Support the onboarding process for new partners or clients by coordinating tasks across teams. Monitor and manage internal deliverables and deadlines to ensure timely completion.
Process & Documentation Management:
Document workflows, business processes, and administrative procedures to maintain clarity and consistency. Assist in developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to Business Development functions. Track contract lifecycles and documentation status in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
Experience:
1 to 3 years of administrative or coordination experience, preferably within a sales or business development environment.
Knowledge and Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and CRM platforms. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities are essential. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to data accuracy are critical for success in this role.
Preferred Qualifications and Attributes
Experience working in cross-functional or fast-paced environments is highly valued. Familiarity with project management tools is a plus. A solid understanding of sales or business development cycles will enhance performance and integration within the team.
