The Business Development Manager – BNPL (Buy Now, Pay Later) will be based full-time on-site in Faisalabad. This role focuses on driving the growth and expansion of BNPL partnerships with financial institutions, payment providers, and key retail stakeholders. The manager will play a critical role in identifying new business opportunities, negotiating contracts, and managing relationships to increase BNPL adoption across Selecto’s branches. Collaboration with sales, marketing, operations, and finance teams is essential to design and implement effective BNPL programs that optimize customer acquisition and retention while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. The role also involves preparing performance reports, forecasting growth, and presenting strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and expand BNPL partnerships with financial institutions, payment providers, and retail stakeholders.
- Identify new business opportunities and negotiate commercial agreements to support BNPL growth.
- Analyze market trends and customer data to drive BNPL adoption and optimize program performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, operations, and finance to design and implement BNPL initiatives.
- Manage contract negotiations and ensure compliance with internal policies and relevant regulations.
- Prepare regular performance reports, forecast growth, and present strategic insights to senior management.
- Oversee customer acquisition and retention strategies related to BNPL offerings.
- Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining effective stakeholder communication.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in business development, partnership management, and relationship-building within retail, financial services, or payment sectors.
- Strong skills in market research, data analysis, and financial modeling to assess BNPL opportunities and performance.
- Demonstrated experience in sales planning, pipeline management, and contract negotiation.
- Solid understanding of BNPL products, consumer finance, and digital payment solutions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work on-site in Faisalabad and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- An MBA or relevant professional certification is considered an advantage.
- Prior experience in retail, e-commerce, banking, fintech, or payment solutions is highly beneficial.
