Business Development Manager - Import

The Business Development & Sales Manager at Scan-Shipping plays a pivotal role in driving the company’s commercial growth by expanding its footprint in export markets. This senior position involves acquiring and managing key clients, integrating market insights into revenue strategies, and providing leadership and mentorship to junior team members to ensure operational excellence and sustained high performance.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop sales volumes and execute sales strategies to meet business targets.
- Manage and nurture client relationships to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
- Oversee operational processes and ensure accurate documentation in line with company standards.
- Maintain rigorous reporting practices and uphold digital discipline to support decision-making.
- Gather and analyze market intelligence to inform strategic planning and competitive positioning.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate team members to foster a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
- Ensure compliance with administrative policies and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong networking skills with established connections among freight forwarders and industry players.
- In-depth knowledge of local and international regulations, including customs, ocean freight, and hazardous cargo handling.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and achieve objectives with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing business environments.
