Business Development Officer

Green Peak International (GPI) is recruiting Business Development Officers (BDOs) for Mobilink Microfinance Bank, specifically for the Karachi branches located in DHA and Clifton. In this role, you will be responsible for attracting new customers and increasing deposits by establishing strong relationships with businesses, shopkeepers, and individuals within your assigned branch area. The position involves a mix of fieldwork and branch-based activities aimed at expanding the bank’s customer base and deposit portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular visits to markets, businesses, and customers within the branch’s designated area, dedicating approximately 50% of your time to fieldwork.
- Open new accounts, follow up with customers, and manage all necessary paperwork at the branch.
- Develop and maintain a growing base of deposit customers to support the bank’s financial goals.
- Achieve a minimum monthly target of PKR 4 million in maintained deposits.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree completed or in the final semester.
- Experience in sales, customer service, or banking is preferred; however, fresh graduates with relevant business degrees such as BBA, B.Com, MBA, Economics, or Accounting & Finance are encouraged to apply.
- Residency in the city of application with a willingness to perform daily field visits.
- Strong communication skills with confidence in speaking to diverse individuals, proficiency in Urdu, and working knowledge of English.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Fixed monthly salary of PKR 50,000.
- Commission of 2% on total deposits once the minimum target of PKR 4 million is met. For example, earning PKR 80,000 on PKR 4 million or PKR 120,000 on PKR 6 million in deposits.
- Fuel allowance of PKR 10,000 for any month in which the deposit target is achieved.
- To illustrate, achieving PKR 6 million in deposits in a month results in a total earning of PKR 180,000 (salary + commission + fuel allowance).

Hiring Process
The selection process includes CV screening, followed by a video interview. Successful candidates will then be invited for an in-person interview at the bank, typically scheduled the day after the video interview.
