This role represents the airline’s ambassador, dedicated to fostering customer loyalty and promoting a positive corporate image by enhancing the overall passenger experience. The successful candidate will provide exceptional customer service while ensuring passenger safety and comfort throughout the entire flight cycle. They must be physically fit and prepared to operate efficiently in alignment with company policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure timely attendance, proper grooming, fitness, and compliance with legal requirements for assigned flights. Participate in briefings to acknowledge flight details, role distribution, targets, security checks, and boarding procedures.
- Instruct passengers on safety procedures to maintain their safety and comfort at all times. Identify safety and security risks, collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor to implement corrective actions according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Administer first aid to passengers when necessary and promptly report any irregularities or malfunctions to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain.
- Welcome passengers and assist with boarding formalities, accurately recording required data in the aircraft logbook following airline and Civil Aviation Authority guidelines.
- Deliver consistent, high-quality customer service by attending to individual pre-bookings, requests, and needs. Support passengers experiencing stress or difficulties in line with operational policies.
- Actively promote on-board meals, products, and the airline’s charity program to maximize revenue and achieve both individual and team sales targets. Handle cash and credit card transactions securely.
- Conduct pre-flight checks to verify sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering, and other necessary items. Report any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor or Captain.
- Assist in ensuring thorough cabin cleaning during transit stops and confirm adequate restocking of catering and duty-free products.
- Manage orderly handover and takeover of the cabin with catering, cleaning, and maintenance teams.
- Complete post-flight briefings and assessment reports, providing objective evaluations and reporting any issues encountered during the flight. Seal duty-free containers as required.
- Assume the duties of Cabin Supervisor when designated by the Captain and maintain accountability for passenger conduct.
- Maintain professional and safety knowledge through recurrent training, emergency procedure drills, and educational workshops. Ensure all licenses remain current.
- Contribute to team success by meeting assigned sales targets and operational objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate; a diploma in Travel or Tourism is advantageous.
- Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is preferred.
- Physically fit and medically cleared to perform cabin crew duties, with no serious medical conditions or chronic illnesses.
- Presentable appearance with clear skin and no visible tattoos while in uniform.
- Age between 20-29 years for new crew members and up to 33 years for experienced personnel.
- Minimum height of 160 cm for females and 170 cm for males, with weight proportionate to height and age.
- Ability to swim using a flotation device.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to handle difficult situations and maintain a positive corporate image.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Demonstrates initiative, teamwork, time management, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Previous experience as cabin crew or in customer service roles within airlines, aviation, or hospitality industries is an advantage.
- Possession of an active cabin crew license is beneficial.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including extended hours, and adapt to frequent schedule changes.
- Proven capability to comply with policies, procedures, and meet key performance indicators (KPIs).
