This role represents the airline as a professional ambassador, dedicated to fostering customer loyalty and promoting a positive corporate image. The successful candidate will deliver exceptional customer service to passengers while ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the entire flight. They must be physically fit and prepared to operate efficiently in alignment with company policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure punctual attendance, proper grooming, fitness, and compliance with legal requirements for assigned flights. Participate actively in pre-flight briefings to understand flight details, role distribution, targets, security protocols, and boarding procedures.
- Instruct passengers on safety procedures, maintaining their safety and comfort at all times. Identify potential safety and security risks and collaborate with the Cabin Supervisor to address these in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Administer first aid to passengers when necessary and promptly report any irregularities or malfunctions to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain.
- Welcome passengers and assist with boarding formalities, accurately recording necessary data in the aircraft logbook following airline and civil aviation authority guidelines.
- Provide consistent, high-quality customer service by attending to individual passenger requests and pre-bookings. Support passengers experiencing stress or difficulties according to operational policies.
- Promote onboard sales, including meals, products, and charity initiatives, contributing to individual and team revenue targets. Handle cash and credit card transactions securely and responsibly.
- Conduct pre-flight checks to verify the availability of supplies, emergency equipment, catering, and other essential items, reporting any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor or Captain.
- Assist in ensuring the cleanliness of the aircraft cabin during transit stops and verify that catering and duty-free products are adequately stocked.
- Manage orderly handovers with catering, cleaning, and maintenance teams. Complete post-flight briefings and assessments, providing objective evaluations and reporting any issues.
- Assume the role of Cabin Supervisor when designated by the Captain and maintain accountability for passenger conduct.
- Maintain professional knowledge and safety competencies through recurrent training, emergency procedure drills, and educational workshops, ensuring all licenses remain current.
- Contribute to team success by achieving assigned sales targets and supporting overall operational goals.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate; a diploma in Travel or Tourism is advantageous.
- Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is preferred.
- Physically fit to fly, with good general health and no serious medical conditions or chronic illnesses.
- Presentable appearance, friendly demeanor, and ability to maintain a positive attitude under stress.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to understand and meet passenger needs effectively.
- Skilled in managing difficult situations and handling upset customers without compromising the airline’s image.
- Focused and proactive, capable of identifying irregularities and managing emergencies efficiently.
- Self-motivated with strong teamwork skills and initiative.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective time management and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus depending on airline requirements.
Preferred Qualifications and Additional Requirements
- Age between 20-29 years for entry-level candidates; up to 33 years for experienced crew.
- Minimum height of 160 cm for females and 170 cm for males, with weight proportionate to height and age.
- Clear skin with no visible tattoos or marks while in uniform.
- Medically and physically fit to perform cabin crew duties, including the ability to swim with a flotation device.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Previous experience in cabin crew, customer service, aviation, or hospitality industries is an advantage.
- Holding an active cabin crew license is beneficial.
- Ability to work in shifts and extended hours with high flexibility and adaptability to changing schedules.
- Demonstrated capacity to comply with policies, procedures, and meet key performance indicators (KPIs).
