We are looking for motivated and persuasive Call Center Sales Agents to join our UK Gas & Electric (Energy) campaign. This role involves making outbound calls to UK-based customers, both B2B and B2C, to offer energy tariff comparisons, brokerage solutions, and switching packages aimed at reducing their utility bills. Candidates must have at least 2 years of direct experience in UK energy, utility, or telecommunications sales campaigns, with fluent, neutral English and strong objection-handling skills. The position operates during UK business hours, typically from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM PKT, and offers a competitive salary with uncapped performance-based commissions.
Key Responsibilities
- Outbound Cold Calling & Lead Generation: Contact UK prospects using automated dialers to promote energy switching services, tariff reviews, or brokerage options.
- Fact-Finding & Analysis: Collect detailed account information such as current energy suppliers, contract end dates, annual gas/electricity usage, and existing rates.
- Value Pitching: Clearly communicate potential energy savings, unit rate reductions, standing charge optimizations, and contract terms to prospective clients.
- Objection Handling: Effectively manage pushbacks, gatekeepers, contract termination concerns, and market rate questions with confidence.
- CRM & Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate records of customer details, call outcomes, callback schedules, and lead statuses within the CRM system.
- Compliance & Quality Assurance: Adhere strictly to UK energy compliance standards including Ofgem guidelines, TPS/DNC checks, and verbal consent recording requirements.
- Target Achievement: Consistently meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly goals related to bill collections, qualified leads, and closed contracts.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ solid experience in UK Energy/Gas & Electric campaigns, either B2B energy brokerage or B2C energy switching. Candidates with similar experience in UK telecom or utility sales will also be considered.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent, near-native spoken English with a neutral accent and familiarity with UK-specific phraseology and active listening skills.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of UK energy terminology including kWh consumption, Standing Charges, MPAN/MPRN numbers, Fixed vs. Variable Tariffs, Ofgem compliance, and contract renewal processes.
- Sales Aptitude: Demonstrated persuasion skills, natural closing ability, resilience to rejection, and a competitive mindset to achieve sales targets.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Vicidial/CRM platforms, predictive dialers, and Microsoft Excel.
- Reliability: Ability to consistently work UK business hours without attendance or punctuality issues.
