Canva Specialist

In this remote, hourly contractor position, you will serve as a Canva Specialist (Subject Matter Expert) responsible for creating realistic and challenging computer-based tasks using Canva and related design workflows. Your role involves designing practical Canva assignments, documenting them clearly within SuperAnnotate, ensuring your work environment is fully prepared, and recording yourself completing these tasks on your computer. The tasks you develop may include social media posts, presentations, flyers, posters, brand assets, templates, infographics, resumes, marketing graphics, image editing, layout adjustments, export workflows, or collaborative design activities. Your contributions will support the training of advanced AI models to better understand how real users perform visual design tasks in browser-based tools.

Key Responsibilities

- Create realistic Canva tasks by developing challenging and practical assignments executable on a computer using Canva, then document these tasks clearly in SuperAnnotate.
- Prepare your work environment by ensuring access to Canva, availability of necessary files, images, assets, brand details, and any required references before recording begins.
- Record yourself executing the Canva tasks on your computer, following project instructions carefully to ensure workflows are clear, complete, and realistic.
- Provide comprehensive task context, including detailed steps, goals, files, assets, and notes, so reviewers fully understand the task and its completion process.
- Demonstrate practical use of Canva software by completing workflows involving templates, text editing, layout changes, image placement, branding, presentations, social media posts, flyers, infographics, exports, or sharing features as relevant.
- Maintain high submission quality by reviewing recordings and documentation prior to submission, ensuring tasks are complete, understandable, realistic, and aligned with project guidelines.

Required Qualifications

- Hands-on experience using Canva for creating social media graphics, presentations, flyers, posters, templates, brand kits, infographics, or marketing and design workflows.
- Proficiency in English at a B2 level or higher to accurately understand project instructions, document tasks clearly, and communicate effectively with the project team.
- Comfort and familiarity with using computers, browser-based tools, managing files, uploads, downloads, exports, and recording workflows.
- Ability to develop realistic and challenging Canva tasks that reflect actual use cases in design, marketing, administration, sales, education, or content creation.
- Strong understanding of Canva fundamentals, including templates, elements, text styles, images, layers, alignment, brand kits, colors, spacing, exports, and sharing options.
- Capability to ensure your setup fully supports the task, including having Canva access, necessary files and assets, images prepared, and any required references ready before recording.
- High attention to detail when preparing tasks, executing workflows, and reviewing recordings to confirm completeness and clarity.
- Reliable, self-directed work ethic with the ability to consistently deliver quality work in a remote, hourly contractor role across different time zones.
