We are seeking a full-time, on-site Cashier / Accountant to join a restaurant and hotel team in Bahawalpur. This role involves managing various financial transactions and ensuring smooth payment processes while delivering excellent customer service. The position operates primarily during the morning shift and requires a detail-oriented individual capable of handling cash operations accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage payments and operate the point-of-sale (POS) system for all customer transactions.
- Issue receipts and maintain accurate transaction records for all sales and refunds.
- Perform cash reconciliation at the end of each shift to ensure all funds are accounted for.
- Prepare and review guest bills, ensuring accuracy and prompt resolution of any discrepancies.
- Handle refunds and adjustments in a professional and timely manner.
- Provide courteous and efficient customer service, addressing any payment-related inquiries or concerns.
- Collaborate with other team members to support smooth financial operations within the restaurant and hotel environment.
Required Qualifications
- Intermediate education or an equivalent qualification is mandatory.
- A minimum of 2 to 3 years of relevant experience working as a cashier, preferably in a hospitality or retail setting.
- Strong numerical skills and attention to detail to manage cash handling and transaction accuracy.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles or commerce-related coursework is preferred to support financial record-keeping.
- Ability to work the morning shift consistently and reliably.
