Category Officer – Food & Non-Food

We are seeking a dedicated Category Officer specializing in Food and Non-Food products to oversee product categories, optimize inventory management, and contribute to sales growth. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in analyzing market trends, managing supplier relationships, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure product availability and promotional success.

Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze market trends and consumer behavior to optimize product selection and meet customer demands.
- Manage relationships with suppliers, including negotiating pricing and terms to maximize profitability.
- Monitor stock levels regularly to maintain optimal product availability and minimize stockouts.
- Develop and implement effective promotional strategies in coordination with marketing and sales teams.

- Track category performance through data analysis and generate detailed reports to inform decision-making.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in category management, procurement, or a similar role.
- Strong negotiation skills and proven experience in vendor management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with inventory management software.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
