CCTV Technician

LAAM, Pakistan’s leading fashion e-commerce marketplace, is seeking a skilled CCTV Technician to join their team. As the company expands rapidly, ensuring a secure and reliable infrastructure across offices and warehouses is essential. The CCTV Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, monitoring, and troubleshooting surveillance systems to support physical security and operational continuity. This role involves close collaboration with Operations, Admin, and IT teams to uphold a robust and compliant surveillance environment.

Key Responsibilities

CCTV Installation & Maintenance:
Install, configure, and maintain CCTV cameras, DVRs/NVRs, monitors, and related equipment. Ensure optimal camera placement and image quality across all operational sites, including offices and warehouses. Conduct routine preventive maintenance to guarantee uninterrupted system performance.

Monitoring & Troubleshooting:
Continuously monitor CCTV systems to maintain uptime and performance. Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues promptly. Respond quickly to faults, outages, or security incidents to minimize risks.

System Configuration & Security:
Configure IP cameras, network settings, and storage systems in collaboration with IT and Network teams. Manage secure access controls, user permissions, and data retention policies. Maintain backups of critical footage while adhering to company security protocols.

Coordination & Reporting:
Work closely with Admin, Security, Warehouse, and IT teams to identify system requirements and implement upgrades. Keep detailed logs of maintenance activities, incidents, and system performance. Support investigations by retrieving and exporting CCTV footage as needed.

Compliance & Safety:
Ensure all installations comply with relevant safety standards and organizational policies. Maintain cleanliness, proper cabling discipline, and equipment safety at all sites. Recommend system improvements to enhance security and operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications

- DAE or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, IT, or a related technical discipline.
- 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience as a CCTV Technician or in surveillance system support.
- Strong knowledge of both analog and IP-based CCTV systems and camera configurations.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts including IP addressing, LAN, PoE, and switches.
- Experience troubleshooting cabling, power supply issues, and hardware faults.
- Ability to work independently and manage time-sensitive situations effectively.
- Good communication skills with a responsible and detail-oriented approach.
- Willingness to travel between multiple sites within Lahore as required.
