Our client is seeking a highly experienced Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead a large-scale agriculture venture based in Lahore, Pakistan. This full-time, onsite role offers a unique opportunity to guide the business from its establishment phase through to full commercial operations. The ideal candidate will combine deep agricultural expertise with strong business acumen, operational excellence, and leadership skills to drive profitability, growth, and long-term sustainability. Reporting directly to ownership and senior stakeholders, the CEO will be responsible for setting strategic direction, managing financial performance, overseeing farm development, and building high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership: Lead the agriculture venture from inception to commercial scale, developing and executing business strategies aligned with organizational goals. Establish annual plans, budgets, and performance targets while defining and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs). Provide regular updates and strategic insights to ownership and senior management.

Commercial & Financial Management: Take full ownership of the venture’s Profit & Loss (P&L) performance. Manage budgets, forecasts, and investment plans to drive profitability and sustainable growth. Evaluate business opportunities, expansion strategies, and ensure strong financial discipline and commercial decision-making.

Farm Development & Operations: Oversee the design, development, and expansion of modern agricultural operations. Implement systems, infrastructure, and frameworks necessary for large-scale production. Manage crop production, resource utilization, mechanization, irrigation, and productivity initiatives while ensuring adherence to best agricultural practices and operational excellence.

Stakeholder & Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, contractors, government authorities, regulatory bodies, local communities, and industry partners. Support commercial partnerships, customer relations, and off-take agreements to strengthen the venture’s market position.

Leadership & People Development: Recruit and lead high-performing teams across all functions. Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and alignment with strategic objectives. Develop leadership capabilities and succession plans to ensure long-term organizational success.

Sustainability & Risk Management: Promote sustainable farming practices and responsible resource management. Identify and mitigate operational, commercial, environmental, and regulatory risks. Implement governance, compliance, and reporting frameworks to ensure business resilience and sustainability.

Required Qualifications

- Proven senior leadership experience in large-scale agriculture or agribusiness operations.
- Demonstrated full P&L management responsibility.
- Experience in establishing, building, or scaling agricultural ventures from inception.
- Strong expertise in feasibility assessments, investment planning, and business case development.
- Extensive knowledge of agricultural economics and commercial farm management.
- Experience presenting business performance and strategic recommendations to investors, owners, or boards.
- Solid understanding of mechanized farming systems and modern agricultural technologies.
- Experience operating within irrigated farming environments.
- Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Willingness to relocate to Lahore, Pakistan.
- Commitment to long-term business growth and leadership.
