Zenith Crown Suites, a 4-star luxury hotel apartment located in Bahria Town Phase 8, Rawalpindi, is seeking an experienced Chef for Pakistani Kitchen. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing authentic Pakistani cuisine while ensuring consistent quality, taste, hygiene, and presentation. This role demands a strong knowledge of traditional Pakistani dishes and the ability to work efficiently in a professional hotel kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a wide variety of traditional Pakistani dishes, including curries, BBQ, karahi, handi, biryani, pulao, daal, vegetables, and other local specialties.
- Maintain authentic taste, quality, consistency, and presentation of all Pakistani dishes.
- Prepare ingredients, marinades, sauces, gravies, and other mise en place required for daily operations.
- Follow standardized recipes and portion-control procedures to ensure consistency.
- Ensure food is prepared and served according to hotel quality standards.
- Monitor cooking times, temperatures, seasoning, and presentation to maintain high standards.
- Assist in developing and improving Pakistani food menus in collaboration with the Head Cook and management.
- Maintain proper food storage, handling, and labeling procedures to ensure safety and freshness.
- Monitor ingredient usage and contribute to minimizing food waste.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, cooking equipment, utensils, and workstations.
- Adhere strictly to food safety, sanitation, and health regulations at all times.
- Coordinate with the Head Cook and other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and timely food service.
- Assist in managing kitchen requirements and promptly inform supervisors of shortages or quality issues.
- Train and guide junior kitchen staff in the preparation of Pakistani dishes when required.
- Perform other kitchen duties as assigned by the Head Cook or management.
Required Qualifications
- 5–7 years of professional experience specializing in Pakistani cuisine.
- Previous experience in a hotel, restaurant, banquet, or high-volume kitchen environment is preferred.
- Strong practical knowledge of traditional Pakistani cooking techniques.
- Excellent skills in preparing curries, BBQ, karahi, handi, biryani, pulao, daal, vegetables, and other Pakistani specialties.
- Ability to maintain consistent taste and quality in high-volume food production.
- Good knowledge of food hygiene, sanitation, and safe food-handling practices.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service periods.
- Strong teamwork, discipline, punctuality, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
