Chemical Engineer – Production & Process Operations

SCADA Industries (Pvt.) Ltd. is looking for motivated and qualified Chemical Engineers to join their production and process operations team. The successful candidates will be responsible for overseeing chemical manufacturing processes, ensuring product quality, enhancing plant efficiency, and maintaining strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards. This role requires a hands-on approach to process optimization and collaboration with multiple departments to achieve smooth and efficient plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and control chemical manufacturing processes to maintain consistent and efficient production.
- Supervise plant operations, including managing process parameters such as temperature, pressure, flow rates, and chemical dosing.
- Troubleshoot process-related issues promptly and implement corrective measures to reduce downtime and production losses.
- Optimize chemical consumption, production yield, energy usage, and overall process efficiency.
- Coordinate with production, laboratory, quality control, maintenance, and effluent treatment plant (ETP) teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Track raw material usage, work-in-progress, and finished product quality to meet specifications.
- Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs), process specifications, and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate production records, process logs, and operational reports.
- Oversee proper handling, storage, and use of chemicals in line with safety protocols.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, waste reduction, and cost savings.
- Support equipment troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and plant improvement initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to workplace safety regulations, environmental guidelines, and chemical handling requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering (BE/BSc) from a recognized university.
- 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in chemical manufacturing or process industries is preferred.
- Fresh graduates with strong technical knowledge and eagerness to learn will also be considered.
Required Skills
- Solid understanding of chemical processes and industrial plant operations.
- Familiarity with process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and process control systems.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Knowledge of industrial safety practices and chemical handling procedures.
- Good reporting, documentation, and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other relevant reporting tools.
