Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

We are looking for a highly experienced and commercially focused Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the finance and accounting functions across multiple group companies based in Islamabad, Pakistan, while also supporting operations in the UAE. The CFO will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects including reporting, cash flow management, treasury, banking relationships, UAE VAT and Corporate Tax compliance, audits, inventory control, budgeting, internal controls, and overall financial strategy. This role demands a strong leader who can ensure financial discipline and drive strategic growth across the group’s mobile phones, electronics trading, logistics, and related businesses.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage finance and accounting operations for multiple group companies.
- Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, working capital, and profitability analysis.
- Manage UAE banking relationships, financing arrangements, international payments, and multi-currency transactions including AED, USD, and GBP.
- Ensure compliance with UAE VAT, Corporate Tax regulations, IFRS standards, audits, and other regulatory requirements.
- Implement and maintain strong controls over high-value mobile and electronics inventory, including costing, stock reconciliation, and gross profit monitoring.
- Supervise receivables, payables, credit control, and management of supplier and customer balances.
- Develop and enforce financial policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), internal controls, and risk management frameworks.
- Lead finance teams in Pakistan and UAE, enhancing ERP and accounting systems, reporting accuracy, and automation processes.
- Provide strategic financial guidance to the CEO and Board regarding business performance, investment opportunities, funding strategies, and cost optimization initiatives.

Required Qualifications
- Proven hands-on experience as a CFO is mandatory.
- A minimum of 8 to 12+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including at least 3 to 5 years in a CFO or senior financial leadership role.
- Professional accounting qualification such as CA, ACCA, CMA, CPA, or an equivalent credential is preferred.
- Strong expertise in IFRS, UAE VAT, and Corporate Tax regulations.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple companies’ group accounts, banking relationships, auditors, and tax consultants.
- Advanced financial modeling skills, proficiency in Excel, ERP/accounting software, and inventory costing.
- Experience in mobile phone or electronics trading sectors.
- Background in trading, distribution, logistics, or other inventory-intensive businesses.
- Proven ability to manage high-value inventory and multiple bank accounts effectively.
- Experience in establishing finance departments, policies, and internal control systems.
- Availability to join on short notice.

Important Note: Candidates with experience limited to roles such as Accountant, Senior Accountant, Finance Manager, or Financial Controller without actual CFO-level responsibility will not be considered.

Compensation
The monthly salary range for this position is PKR 400,000 to PKR 500,000.
