SINA HealthSystems Foundation is a PCP-certified, registered not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing primary healthcare services in the urban slums of Karachi. Operating through a network of 38 locations, the foundation serves approximately 500,000 patients annually. Patients are categorized into Zakat eligible, Non-Zakat, and Welfare groups to ensure that healthcare services are tailored to their financial situations. Funded primarily through Zakat contributions and general donations, SINA is committed to delivering equitable and sustainable healthcare to marginalized communities. Joining the organization means becoming part of a mission-driven team focused on improving access to quality care for underserved populations.

Key Responsibilities
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be based full-time on-site in Karachi and will lead the overall financial strategy and operations of SINA HealthSystems Foundation. This role includes overseeing budgeting, financial planning, cash flow management, and investment decisions, ensuring all activities align with the organization’s mission and comply with regulatory standards. The CFO will supervise the preparation and analysis of financial statements and reports, monitor fund utilization across Zakat, Non-Zakat, and Welfare programs, and ensure adherence to donor and regulatory reporting requirements. Managing the finance team, strengthening internal controls, and optimizing financial systems and processes are critical components of this role. The CFO will collaborate closely with the CEO and Board of Directors on strategic financial decisions and engage with donors, auditors, and other stakeholders to communicate financial performance, support fundraising efforts, and promote long-term financial sustainability.

Required Qualifications
Candidates must have a strong foundation in finance, including expertise in financial planning and budgeting to support strategic decision-making. Proficiency in preparing and reviewing financial statements and reports for internal, regulatory, and donor audiences is essential. Advanced analytical skills are required to interpret financial data, assess risks, and provide data-driven recommendations. Experience in fund accounting, nonprofit or healthcare finance, and managing both restricted and unrestricted funds is necessary. A relevant professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, CPA, CFA, or a Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting is required, along with proven experience in senior financial leadership roles. Knowledge of local regulatory, tax, and compliance requirements, including auditing standards applicable to not-for-profit organizations, is important. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to lead and develop finance teams, implement robust internal controls, and improve financial systems and processes. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are crucial for effective collaboration with executive leadership, board members, and donors. High ethical standards, integrity, and alignment with SINA’s mission to serve underserved communities are essential.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
While not explicitly stated, candidates with prior experience in nonprofit healthcare organizations or similar mission-driven environments will be highly valued. The role offers an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a well-established organization focused on impactful healthcare delivery in underserved urban areas. The CFO will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial health and sustainability of the foundation, working alongside a dedicated leadership team committed to social impact.

This position represents a unique leadership opportunity for a finance professional passionate about leveraging their skills to support equitable healthcare access and sustainable organizational growth.
