With over 14 years of extensive experience in financial management, corporate finance, budgeting, financial reporting, and internal financial controls, this role demands a seasoned professional who has spent at least 7 years in senior finance leadership positions within large, reputable public sector or corporate organizations. The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will play a pivotal role in advising the Board on all financial matters, ensuring accurate financial records and accounts are maintained, and upholding a robust system of internal financial controls.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the organization’s overall financial strategy, including planning and governance frameworks, to align with business objectives.
- Develop, manage, and oversee annual budgets, business plans, and financial forecasts to support sustainable growth.
- Supervise financial reporting and accounting operations, ensuring compliance with applicable financial regulations and standards.
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and funding requirements to maintain the organization’s financial stability.
- Establish and continuously improve internal controls, financial policies, and risk management systems to safeguard assets and mitigate risks.
- Provide strategic financial insights and analysis to support executive management in decision-making and business expansion initiatives.
- Monitor financial performance by analyzing variances and implementing cost optimization measures.
- Maintain and nurture relationships with auditors, banks, regulators, and other key stakeholders to ensure smooth financial operations and compliance.

Required Qualifications

- Membership in a recognized professional accounting body such as CA, ICMA, ACCA, or ICAEW.
- Master’s degree in Finance or a related field from a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) or an equivalent qualification.
