Chief Pilot

We are looking for a highly experienced Chief Pilot to lead and manage flight operations based in Karachi, Pakistan. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business jet and VIP charter operations, with a proven track record of ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining pilot competency, and upholding the highest standards of aviation safety. This full-time role demands a minimum of 5,000 total flight hours and significant leadership experience within corporate aviation or related sectors.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee pilot qualifications, including licenses, medical certifications, type ratings, recurrent training, and proficiency checks to ensure all crew members meet regulatory and company standards.
- Manage crew scheduling, flight rosters, and assign Pilot-in-Command (PIC) duties effectively to optimize operational efficiency.
- Ensure strict compliance with Flight Duty Time Limitations (FDTL), rest requirements, and all applicable aviation regulations to maintain safety and legal standards.
- Evaluate new destinations by assessing airfield suitability, runway performance, and operational risks to support safe and efficient flight planning.
- Coordinate with the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) and relevant military aviation authorities regarding restricted airspace and airfield operations.
- Maintain and regularly update the Company Operations Manual, safety bulletins, operational circulars, and compliance documentation to reflect current regulations and best practices.
- Conduct pilot performance appraisals and enforce adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to promote consistent operational excellence.
- Maintain active flying status and serve as a Line Captain when operationally required, demonstrating leadership and hands-on expertise.

Required Qualifications

- Valid Pakistan CAA/PCAA Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) and a current Class 1 Medical Certificate.
- Relevant command type rating for business jets such as Challenger, Learjet, or equivalent aircraft.
- Minimum of 5,000 total flight hours, including at least 2,500 hours as Pilot-in-Command on multi-engine turbine or jet aircraft.
- At least 5 years of leadership experience in corporate aviation, VIP charter, executive transport, or airline flight operations management.
- Strong knowledge of Pakistan Civil Aviation Rules (CARs 1994), ICAO standards, flight safety protocols, and operational compliance requirements.
- Proven experience in crew management, regulatory coordination, and aviation safety oversight.
- Excellent leadership, decision-making, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively manage teams and liaise with regulatory bodies.

Compensation and Work Environment

This is a full-time, in-person position based in Karachi. The salary range offered is competitive, between Rs600,000 and Rs1,500,000 per month, reflecting the seniority and expertise required for this role.
