Civil Engineer

Key Responsibilities
The Civil Engineer will be based full-time on-site within the Karachi Division and will be responsible for designing, reviewing, and supervising civil engineering works related to infrastructure and construction projects. This includes ensuring all activities comply with technical standards and local regulations. Daily duties involve preparing detailed engineering plans and drawings, conducting site inspections, coordinating with project managers and contractors, and monitoring project progress against established schedules and quality standards. The role also requires supporting project planning efforts, contributing to cost estimation, managing project documentation, and assisting in resolving technical issues throughout the project lifecycle. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams is essential to deliver safe, sustainable, and efficient engineering solutions within and around Karachi.

Required Qualifications
Candidates must have a strong foundation in Civil Engineering with practical experience applying engineering principles to infrastructure or construction projects. Proficiency in civil engineering design is essential, including familiarity with relevant design standards, codes, and software tools. Experience in project planning and coordination—covering scheduling, resource allocation, and progress tracking—is required. Knowledge of stormwater management and related hydrology/hydraulics concepts for urban and infrastructure projects is important. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution is mandatory. Professional licensure or registration is considered an advantage. The candidate should be capable of working on-site, conducting field inspections, and collaborating effectively with engineers, technicians, and contractors. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are necessary, along with a commitment to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
