This role involves ensuring that the assigned hospital location is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable condition following the instructions of the supervisor. The incumbent will be responsible for preparing vacant patient units for new admissions, performing routine cleaning tasks, and assisting with patient transport and other support duties as needed. Maintaining a respectful and professional attitude towards patients and their families is essential while working in the designated areas.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the assigned location according to supervisor directives.
- Complete clean turnovers and make-ready tasks for vacant patient units as directed.
- Perform daily cleaning activities including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning light fixtures, and equipment in assigned areas.
- Ensure ward equipment, patient beds, and hospital windows are properly cleaned and dusted.
- Assist in trash collection within the assigned area.
- Support patient transportation for x-rays, lab tests, and transfers between departments as instructed by the supervisor.
- Collect and prepare soiled laundry from floors for washing.
- Deliver departmental general supplies or pharmacy items as directed by the area supervisor.
- Maintain polite, non-aggressive, and ethical behavior towards patients and their families at all times.

Required Qualifications

- Proven experience in hospital or healthcare facility cleaning and maintenance.
- Ability to follow supervisor instructions accurately and complete tasks efficiently.
- Good interpersonal skills with a courteous and professional attitude.
- Physical capability to perform cleaning duties and assist with patient transport.
- Understanding of hospital hygiene and safety standards.
