Cloud Architect

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Architect with expertise in both Azure and AWS to join our Cloud Consulting team based in Lahore. This role demands a professional who can provide expert guidance in designing, architecting, and implementing scalable, secure, and highly available cloud solutions. The ideal candidate will lead cloud transformation initiatives, collaborate closely with clients, and ensure technical excellence through hands-on implementation and leadership.

Key Responsibilities

- Architect and implement advanced cloud solutions across Azure and AWS platforms, focusing on scalability, security, resilience, and cost optimization.
- Lead cloud migration projects and provide technical leadership to project teams, ensuring alignment with client business objectives.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements and deliver customized cloud strategies and solutions.
- Apply cloud security best practices and ensure compliance with relevant regulatory standards.
- Optimize cloud environments for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Conduct cloud assessments, evaluate technology options, and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Mentor and coach team members to enhance technical capabilities and foster innovation.
- Participate in pre-sales activities, including preparing technical proposals, delivering solution presentations, and conducting client workshops.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of cloud consulting methodologies and best practices.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT, with at least 6 years dedicated to cloud architecture roles. Preference will be given to candidates with 12 years in IT and 8 years in cloud architecture.
- Proven experience architecting and implementing solutions in Azure and AWS environments. Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is a plus.
- Hands-on development and implementation experience on cloud platforms.
- Strong expertise in cloud modernization, migration, automation, DevOps practices, and cloud transformation projects.
- Deep understanding of cloud architecture patterns, standards, and best practices.
- Proficiency with cloud automation and orchestration tools such as Terraform.
- Solid knowledge of networking, virtualization, and identity management within cloud environments.
- Practical experience with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker Swarm and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with serverless deployments, virtual private clouds (VPCs), API gateways, virtual machines, and managed services for databases, AI/ML, and data analytics.
- Extensive experience with Azure services including Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Functions, Azure DevOps (CI/CD pipelines), Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Logic Apps, and Azure Synapse Analytics.
- Strong command of AWS services such as Amazon EKS, AWS Lambda, AWS CodePipeline, DynamoDB, Amazon RDS, AWS Glue, Amazon Redshift, and AWS CloudFormation.
- Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and cost management tools in cloud environments.
- Comprehensive understanding of cloud security principles, governance frameworks, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex requirements into scalable cloud architectures.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to influence and collaborate effectively with clients and internal teams.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality solutions within agreed timelines and budgets.

Education

- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
- A Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline is preferred.
