Cloud & DevOps Engineer

EZAC Technologies is seeking a dedicated Cloud & DevOps Engineer to join their Islamabad-based team in a full-time, on-site capacity. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure that supports scalable, secure, and highly available production and development environments. The successful candidate will work closely with software development teams to enhance release processes, optimize system environments, and improve overall reliability through automation and configuration management. This position plays a critical role in driving continuous improvement in DevOps workflows and cloud architecture, ensuring that infrastructure is well-documented and aligned with industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure with a focus on scalability, security, and high availability.
- Develop and manage Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines to automate builds, testing, and deployments.
- Automate deployment processes and infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues, and respond to incidents promptly.
- Collaborate with software development teams to streamline release workflows and optimize cloud environments.
- Implement configuration management and automation to enhance system reliability and operational efficiency.
- Document infrastructure configurations, processes, and best practices to support knowledge sharing and compliance.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of DevOps practices and cloud architecture strategies.

Required Qualifications

- Proven expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and cloud configuration management to create reproducible and maintainable environments.
- Experience working within software development teams and understanding of application lifecycle workflows.
- Hands-on experience with Continuous Integration tools and automation of build, test, and deployment pipelines.
- Strong system administration skills, particularly with Linux-based servers, containers, and cloud resources.
- Familiarity with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools to maintain system reliability and performance.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash or Python to automate routine infrastructure tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and capability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
