CORA Legal Group is currently seeking an experienced Cloud Operations Engineer to manage and optimize its production cloud applications. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining highly available, scalable, and secure cloud environments across multiple platforms. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to automate operations, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to cloud infrastructure strategy. Strong organizational skills, self-motivation, and excellent interpersonal abilities are essential for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor client-facing cloud environments and escalate performance, security, or availability issues promptly.
- Design and manage scalable, secure cloud infrastructure across multi-cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
- Implement cloud solutions following best practices for performance, security (including IAM), and cost-efficiency.
- Manage cloud resources including virtual machines, containers, databases, networking, and storage to ensure optimal performance.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines to enable fast, reliable application deployments.
- Automate routine operational tasks such as monitoring, scaling, and backups to improve efficiency.
- Establish monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to proactively detect and resolve issues.
- Lead incident response efforts including root cause analysis and remediation to minimize downtime.
- Continuously optimize cloud infrastructure for cost-effectiveness and performance improvements.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, and GDPR through security controls and audits.
- Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and assess their relevance to the organization.
- Provide 24/7 support for cloud applications to maintain high availability.
- Document support processes and maintain a knowledge base for common issues and solutions.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3-4 years of experience in cloud operations, cloud engineering, DevOps, or similar roles managing high-availability production environments.
- Proven expertise with multi-cloud environments, particularly AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong self-motivation and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in cloud infrastructure management and automation tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
- Solid knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
- Skilled in scripting languages including Python, Bash, or PowerShell. Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like New Relic, Azure Monitoring, or AWS CloudWatch.
