Cloud security architect/Senior Cloud Security Engineer

Zero Breach Global, a New York–based cybersecurity firm established in 2022, is seeking a Cloud Security Architect / Senior Cloud Security Engineer for a 5-6 month contract role based in Lahore. The company delivers advanced, enterprise-grade protection across digital ecosystems, specializing in threat detection, risk management, cloud security, and incident response. This position focuses on designing and implementing secure cloud architectures in public and hybrid cloud environments, ensuring robust security controls, policies, and standards are in place to protect critical assets and maintain compliance.

Key Responsibilities
Design and implement secure cloud architectures across various cloud platforms, including public and hybrid environments. Assess existing cloud deployments by performing comprehensive risk and threat analyses and recommend security improvements for infrastructure, applications, networks, and data. Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to integrate security into system design, conduct security reviews, and support secure DevOps practices. Develop and maintain security documentation, guide incident response efforts within cloud environments, and stay up to date with emerging cloud security technologies and evolving compliance requirements.

Required Qualifications
- 5-8 years of experience in cloud security architecture and engineering roles.
- Strong skills in cloud-focused security architecture design, including secure reference architectures, governance frameworks, and implementation of security best practices.
- Proficiency in application security, including secure coding principles, threat modeling, API and microservices security, and embedding security into CI/CD pipelines.
- Solid cybersecurity expertise encompassing risk assessment, threat detection and response, vulnerability management, and familiarity with cloud security standards and frameworks.
- Network security experience, including design and hardening of cloud networks, segmentation, firewalls, VPNs, and secure connectivity between on-premises and cloud environments.
- Deep understanding of information security principles such as data protection, identity and access management, encryption, logging and monitoring, and regulatory compliance.
- Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and GCP, including their native security services, IAM, Zero Trust models, Kubernetes, Terraform/IaC, DevSecOps practices, cloud networking, and SIEM tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in remote, cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
