This contract role offers an exciting opportunity for a skilled cloud security professional with 3 to 5 years of experience to manage and secure Microsoft Entra ID, Azure, Microsoft 365, and Google Cloud environments. The position involves implementing robust identity, access, and privilege management controls, enhancing workload protection, and ensuring comprehensive security across multiple cloud platforms. The contract is extendable based on performance, providing potential for long-term engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and secure Microsoft Entra ID and Azure environments to maintain a strong security posture.
- Implement identity, access, and privilege management controls, including Privileged Identity Management (PIM), Conditional Access, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and admin consent policies.
- Enhance workload protection using Defender for Cloud and Azure Policy to safeguard cloud resources.
- Secure critical Azure resources such as Key Vault, Storage, SQL databases, App Services, Private Endpoints, and Bastion hosts.
- Strengthen Microsoft 365 auditing, email security, collaboration security, and data protection controls.
- Implement Microsoft Purview for data classification, sensitivity labeling, and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) controls.
- Apply security governance controls related to Microsoft 365 Copilot.
- Improve Google Cloud Identity and Access Management (IAM), service identities, auditing, and organizational policies.
- Implement security controls for Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) environments.
- Secure secrets, credentials, and manage key lifecycle processes effectively.
- Configure audit logging and security monitoring capabilities to ensure continuous compliance and threat detection.
- Validate dependencies before enforcing security restrictions or making credential changes to avoid disruptions.
- Document data residency requirements, disaster recovery plans, and implementation dependencies to support operational continuity.
Required Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of hands-on implementation experience in Microsoft Cloud, Microsoft 365 & Purview, Google Cloud, or Kubernetes environments.
- Proven ability to work across multiple cloud platforms within the scope of the engagement, demonstrating flexibility and technical expertise.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience with Microsoft Entra ID and Azure security configurations.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Purview implementations.
- Knowledge of Google Cloud IAM and security best practices.
- Hands-on experience with Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) security.
- Practical experience with PIM, Conditional Access, Defender for Cloud, and Azure Policy.
- Expertise in Data Loss Prevention (DLP), sensitivity labels, and audit logging.
- Understanding of Workload Identity Federation and VPC Service Controls.
- Exposure to Microsoft 365 Copilot governance controls.
- Relevant certifications from Microsoft, Google Cloud, or Kubernetes are highly desirable.
