We are seeking a Cloud Engineer / Cloud Administrator to join Contour Software’s Lahore office. This role focuses on supporting our Managed Hosted Service offering by maintaining and configuring critical business systems hosted on Microsoft Azure. Initially, the role requires coverage during European (Ireland) working hours, with plans to extend support to U.S. East Coast and Australian time zones in the future. The position involves monitoring cloud environments, responding to customer support tickets, developing automation, and collaborating with architects and developers to optimize cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Provisioning and managing Virtual Machines and Azure App Services
- Automating tasks using PowerShell scripting
- Applying and maintaining Azure security standards
- Monitoring MS SQL databases and server instances, including backups and maintenance
- Creating alerts and monitoring various Azure services
- Configuring and maintaining VPNs and managing DNS
- Managing Virtual Networks, Azure Traffic Manager, Network Security Groups, and IP/Port whitelisting
- Overseeing disaster recovery services
- Installing applications and writing reports
- Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues

Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Azure Cloud Engineer or IT Administrator
- Strong knowledge of MS SQL and Windows Server Administration
- Logical thinking and effective problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in English (spoken and written)
- High numeracy and proficiency with standard business software such as MS Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Tech-savvy with the ability to stay updated on software trends and strong troubleshooting capabilities
- Reliable, organized, and able to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to work both collaboratively within a team and independently when required
- College degree, professional qualification, or extensive experience in IT Administration, Cloud Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Experience with CI/CD principles, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), cloud reporting and alerting tools, Azure DevOps, Visual Studio, VB .Net/C#, PowerShell scripting, and familiarity with investment markets or fund administration is advantageous but not mandatory. Knowledge of tools such as Specflow, FreshDesk, JIRA, ZenDesk, Microsoft 365, and communication platforms like Teams, Zoom, or WebEx is also beneficial.
