We are looking for a versatile machinist with expertise in both traditional CNC machining and precision Wire EDM operations. In this dual-capability role, you will be responsible for programming, setting up, and optimizing CNC mills, lathes, and Wire-Cut EDM machines. Your work will involve translating engineering blueprints and 3D CAD/CAM models into precise machining programs to produce complex tooling, molds, dies, and prototype parts. This position requires a hands-on approach and a strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality production in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

- CNC Programming & Setup: Develop, edit, and optimize G-code and M-code programs using CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam and Fusion 360 for CNC mills and lathes. Set up tooling, fixtures, and determine appropriate speeds and feeds to maximize efficiency and accuracy.

- Wire EDM Programming & Setup: Program and operate CNC Wire-Cut EDM machines for manufacturing intricate, tight-tolerance, and hardened metal components. Calculate taper angles, wire offsets, flush pressures, and adjust spark parameters to meet specifications.

- Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough inspections of finished parts using precision measuring tools including micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and optical comparators. Ensure all components meet strict Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) standards.

- First-Article Inspection: Perform simulations, dry runs, and first-piece trials to verify dimensions and prevent machine collisions before full production runs.

- Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve programming errors, wire breakages, and dimensional inconsistencies. Carry out basic preventive maintenance to keep machinery operating smoothly.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in both CNC programming and Wire EDM setup and operation.

- Proficiency with CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam, Fusion 360, SolidWorks, or specialized EDM programming tools.

- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and GD&T specifications accurately.

- In-depth knowledge of metallurgy, cutting tool selection, and electrical discharge machining variables.

- Detail-oriented mindset with excellent problem-solving skills, capable of working independently in a dynamic custom tooling or production environment.

Compensation and Work Location

The position offers a monthly salary ranging from Rs 23,000 to Rs 45,000, commensurate with experience and skills. This is an in-person role requiring attendance at the designated worksite.
