We are looking for a skilled CNC Programmer & Technical Trainer to join our team. This role involves CNC programming, machine setup, machining operations, and delivering practical technical training. The ideal candidate will possess strong hands-on experience with CNC machines and the ability to effectively train and assess students or technical staff, helping them develop industry-relevant skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs for milling and turning operations.
- Write and troubleshoot G-Code and M-Code programs.
- Set up and operate CNC machines according to technical drawings and specifications.
- Interpret engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and GD&T requirements.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, tooling systems, work-holding devices, feeds, and speeds.
- Identify and resolve issues related to CNC programming, machine setup, tooling, and machining.
- Conduct both theoretical and practical CNC training sessions.
- Demonstrate CNC machine operation, programming, setup, tool selection, and safety procedures.
- Prepare lesson plans, practical exercises, training materials, and assessments.
- Evaluate trainee performance through practical demonstrations, assignments, and technical assessments.
- Maintain training records, attendance, assessment results, and progress reports.
- Ensure compliance with workshop safety procedures and CNC operating standards.
- Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement of technical training programs.
- Stay updated with the latest CNC technologies, manufacturing techniques, and CAD/CAM systems.
Required Qualifications
- DAE, Diploma, or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Relevant professional experience in CNC programming and machining.
- Practical knowledge of CNC milling and/or turning machines.
- Proficiency in G-Code, M-Code, CNC setup, tooling, feeds, and speeds.
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Fusion 360, or equivalent.
- Strong communication, presentation, troubleshooting, and technical training skills.
Preferred Skills
- Expertise in CNC Milling and Turning operations.
- Advanced CNC programming capabilities.
- In-depth knowledge of G-Code and M-Code.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software including Mastercam, SolidWorks, and AutoCAD.
