This role supports the front-line growth engine by identifying business development opportunities, crafting outreach strategies, and evaluating how the company’s products can enhance the workflows of potential clients. The position involves working closely with assigned market intelligence accounts to research and qualify prospects, engaging the right contacts within organizations, and driving appointments between prospects and sales representatives. The ideal candidate will be proactive, self-motivated, and skilled at tailoring outreach to meet the specific needs of each prospect.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and qualify potential prospects within assigned market intelligence segments.
- Identify and engage the appropriate users or groups within target organizations to discuss product offerings.
- Source new business prospects through inbound leads, prospect lists, discovery, and individual research.
- Develop and execute outreach strategies to schedule meetings between prospects and sales teams.
- Follow up on leads and conduct ongoing research to identify potential new clients.
- Prepare and analyze sales pipeline reports and dashboards to track progress.
- Support sales representatives by researching new logo accounts and assisting in prospect engagement.
- Build and nurture relationships with prospects through initial and follow-up communications to advance sales opportunities.
- Continuously improve product and business development knowledge by collaborating with team members and attending demos.
- Stay current with market trends, tools, and competitive intelligence to enhance outreach effectiveness.
- Maintain accurate and timely data entry in CRM systems, ensuring all communications and documents are properly recorded.
- Manage daily priorities and time efficiently to meet targets and deliver results.
- Collaborate with peers to share best practices, competitive insights, and sales strategies.
Required Qualifications:
- 1 to 3 years of experience in telemarketing or telephonic customer service.
- Proven ability to meet or exceed targets and activity goals related to research and pipeline development.
- Strong client relationship management skills with a focus on excellent customer service.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a target-driven business development environment.
- Experience handling objections, overcoming gatekeepers, and maintaining resilience in the face of rejection.
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and prioritization skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging senior-level audiences.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Knowledge of CRM systems such as Salesforce is advantageous.
- Familiarity with the financial industry or financial divisions is a plus.
