The role involves engaging with communities within the program’s catchment area to foster strong relationships and support the telehealth initiative. The successful candidate will utilize community engagement techniques and participatory rural appraisal (PRA) tools to identify key stakeholders and facilitators, conduct regular meetings, and establish effective referral pathways to telehealth services. This position requires collaboration within a multidisciplinary team and may involve performing additional duties such as those of a registered nurse, nursing assistant, pharmacy assistant, or receptionist when necessary. The candidate will also be responsible for conducting health awareness sessions, identifying community health needs, collecting feedback, and maintaining accurate data reporting.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify and engage communities within the designated program area using various community engagement approaches and PRA tools.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with community stakeholders and facilitators through regular meetings.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the telehealth program operations and work collaboratively within the team.
- Establish and manage community referrals to telehealth facilities and associated programs.
- Conduct health awareness sessions in community settings, homes, and clinics to disseminate information about telehealth services.
- Identify and communicate community health needs and relevant information to the core program team.
- Travel extensively to community homes, NGOs, outreach locations, and other relevant sites to support program activities.
- Collect and document qualitative and quantitative data from the field, including community stories and feedback on telehealth services.
- Report progress and weekly updates to the program coordinator in a timely and accurate manner.
- Attend training sessions and weekly team meetings to stay updated on program developments.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned, including supporting other public health programs and assisting with disease screening.
- Willingness to travel to various program locations both within and outside the city as required.

Required Qualifications

- Experience in community engagement and participatory rural appraisal techniques.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain relationships with diverse community stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Basic understanding of healthcare delivery, preferably with knowledge of telehealth services.
- Flexibility to perform additional healthcare-related tasks such as nursing, pharmacy assistance, or reception duties when needed.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively for outreach activities.
- Competence in data collection, documentation, and reporting.
