This role involves engaging directly with communities to promote immunization and general health awareness. The candidate will work closely with local health facilities and community members to conduct awareness sessions, follow up on immunization schedules through household visits, and organize outreach activities. The position requires strong coordination with community leaders and government representatives to ensure effective mobilization and timely delivery of health services. Accurate record-keeping, data collection, and reporting are essential components of the role, alongside supporting health camps and contributing to success stories that highlight the impact of vaccination efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct community awareness sessions at health facilities and within the community to promote immunization and health education.
- Perform household visits to encourage and monitor adherence to immunization schedules and services.
- Organize and lead regular community mobilization sessions focusing on immunization and overall health awareness.
- Develop and implement weekly and monthly outreach activity plans in coordination with the team.
- Prepare and submit timely, accurate reports on outreach activities on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
- Identify families with zero-dose children and facilitate their linkage to vaccination services promptly.
- Assist the district coordinator in organizing health camps at the community level.
- Arrange monthly coordination meetings involving community leaders, youth champions, government representatives, and other public influencers.
- Maintain precise records, conduct real-time surveys, and gather community feedback to inform program improvements.
- Identify, document, and submit at least one success story or champion family case per month to showcase community impact and encourage vaccine uptake.
- Collect real-time data and provide monthly analysis, including the number of people reached, feedback trends, and visual reports such as infographics, to the supervisor.
- Reside within the assigned Union Council and demonstrate a thorough understanding of local community dynamics.
- Manage own travel within the Union Council for all field activities, including household visits, community meetings, and coordination tasks.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of working experience in community mobilization.
- Experience in the development sector is desirable.
- Must be a resident of the assigned Union Council with a sound understanding of local community dynamics.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and conduct surveys.
- Capacity to work independently and manage travel within the assigned area.
Preferred Qualifications and Additional Information
- Experience working with health-related community programs or immunization campaigns is advantageous.
- Familiarity with data collection tools and reporting formats is preferred.
