Karachi Public School – Gulzar-e-Hijri Campus is seeking a responsible and technically skilled Male Computer Lab Attendant / Lab Assistant to oversee the daily operations of the school's computer laboratory. The ideal candidate will support both teachers and students in utilizing the lab effectively while ensuring all equipment is functional and well-maintained. This role requires hands-on involvement with hardware and software troubleshooting, as well as maintaining a secure and organized environment conducive to learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist teachers and students during computer lab activities to ensure smooth operation.
- Maintain and troubleshoot computers, printers, projectors, UPS units, and other IT equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve basic hardware, software, Windows, networking, internet, and connectivity issues.
- Perform basic computer assembly, component replacement, software installation, updates, and configuration.
- Prepare computers and install necessary software for classes, examinations, and school events.
- Assist with troubleshooting LAN/network and printer-related problems.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment status, repairs, and technical issues.
- Ensure the lab remains clean, organized, secure, and properly maintained at all times.
- Coordinate with the IT Department for technical support and maintenance as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Practical knowledge of computer hardware, software, Windows operating systems, and basic networking.
- Ability to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs and maintenance on computer hardware.
- Familiarity with printers, projectors, peripherals, and other computer-related equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and effective communication abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- 1–2 years of relevant experience is preferred; however, fresh candidates with strong practical skills are encouraged to apply.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Candidates with prior experience working in an educational environment or computer lab setting will be considered an advantage.
- This is a full-time, in-person position based at Karachi Public School – Gulzar-e-Hijri Campus.
- The monthly salary range for this role is Rs30,000 to Rs40,000.
- The position is open to male candidates only.
