Construction Manager

JU Group of Companies is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Manager to oversee and manage construction projects at their Valancia Town site in Lahore. This full-time, on-site position requires a professional who can ensure strict compliance with building regulations, approved plans, construction standards, and company policies throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in high-rise building projects and possess strong leadership abilities to coordinate multiple teams including engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers. The role demands excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain project schedules, budgets, and quality standards while ensuring safety and contractual compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead overall planning and scheduling activities for assigned projects, ensuring alignment with project objectives, timelines, and contractual requirements.
- Monitor project performance against approved schedules, identify delays or critical issues, and implement timely corrective and recovery actions.
- Guide and supervise Planning Engineers and other planning personnel to ensure quality, consistency, and timely delivery of planning outputs.
- Oversee weekly and monthly look-ahead plans, keeping project teams focused on upcoming milestones and critical deliverables.
- Analyze project delays, assess their impact on completion dates, and develop effective recovery strategies in collaboration with project leadership.
- Coordinate with Commercial, Procurement, Construction, and Finance departments to synchronize project schedules with manpower, materials, equipment, budgets, and cash flow.
- Collaborate with Project Management, Design, Procurement, Commercial teams, consultants, and contractors to identify and resolve planning and execution constraints.
- Identify gaps in planning and execution processes and implement improvements to enhance schedule control and project delivery.
- Manage planning activities through project completion stages including testing, commissioning, snagging, and final handover.
- Monitor project performance against defined KPIs and delivery targets.
- Prepare detailed progress reports, performance summaries, and management updates.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, contractual obligations, and applicable quality and safety standards.
- Work closely with internal teams and international clients to facilitate smooth project execution.
- Identify opportunities for operational improvements, resource optimization, and business growth.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (BSc/BE).
- 8 to 12 years of relevant experience in construction planning, with significant exposure to high-rise building projects.
- Strong knowledge of building regulations, construction standards, and technical drawings.
- Excellent coordination, inspection, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex construction projects.
