MEP Solutions Pvt. Ltd., a reputable contracting firm specializing in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works, is seeking a full-time, on-site Construction Manager (Mechanical) to join its team in Karachi. This role will focus on overseeing the MAE and Suzuki high-rise building projects. As a sister company of IZHAR Construction Company Pvt Ltd., MEP Solutions offers a dynamic environment where expertise in managing complex construction projects is highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and direct construction projects from inception through to completion, ensuring all phases meet scheduled deliverables and budget estimates.
- Coordinate and supervise construction workers and subcontractors to meet contractual performance standards.
- Manage all mechanical aspects of the projects, including heating, cooling, refrigeration, piping, and plumbing systems.
- Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and other specialists to ensure project alignment and technical accuracy.
- Conduct regular site visits throughout all construction stages, including bid walks, preconstruction walks, progress inspections, punch list reviews, and project closeouts.
- Perform and document quality assurance and safety inspections to maintain a safe work environment and ensure tools and equipment are functioning properly.
- Maintain and update Scope of Work (SOW) and preconstruction documentation, while fostering strong relationships with reliable contractors and vendors to meet contractual obligations.
- Respond promptly and effectively to work delays, emergencies, and other disruptions to keep projects on track.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience managing new construction and remodeling projects, demonstrating strong leadership and project management skills.
- Solid knowledge of construction methods, technologies, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and contracts accurately.
- Familiarity with building code requirements and scheduling techniques to ensure compliance and timely project delivery.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously without compromising quality.
- Understanding of construction site safety practices and the ability to enforce safety standards consistently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering is highly desirable.
