Construction Manager (Mechanical)

MEP Solutions Pvt. Ltd., a reputable contracting firm specializing in comprehensive Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) services, is seeking a dedicated full-time Construction Manager (Mechanical) to join our team at Karachi Port Qasim. As a sister company of IZHAR Construction Company Pvt Ltd., we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality projects from inception through completion. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to lead mechanical construction efforts on-site and contribute to the successful delivery of complex projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee and manage construction projects from initial planning through to completion, ensuring all phases meet schedule and budget requirements.
- Review project details thoroughly to schedule deliverables, estimate costs, and coordinate construction workers and subcontractors effectively.
- Ensure all mechanical aspects of the project are addressed, including heating and cooling systems, refrigeration, piping, and plumbing installations.
- Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and other specialists to ensure project specifications and quality standards are met.
- Conduct regular site visits during various stages of construction such as bid walks, preconstruction walks, progress inspections, punch walks, and project closeouts. Participate actively in status and coordination meetings.
- Perform and document quality assurance and safety inspections throughout the construction process, maintaining a safe work environment and ensuring tools and equipment are properly maintained.
- Maintain and update Scope of Work (SOW) and preconstruction documentation, while fostering strong relationships with reliable contractors and vendors to meet contractual obligations.
- Respond promptly and effectively to any work delays, emergencies, or disruptions that may arise during the project lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

- A minimum of 10 years’ experience managing new construction and remodeling projects, with a strong background in mechanical construction.
- Solid understanding of construction methods, technologies, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and contracts accurately.
- Familiarity with building code requirements and scheduling techniques to ensure compliance and timely project delivery.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously without compromising quality or safety standards.
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction site safety practices and protocols.

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering is highly desirable.
