Consultant Gastroenterologist

Awadh General Hospital, located in Landhi, Karachi, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Consultant Gastroenterologist to join its medical team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and managing a wide range of gastrointestinal and liver-related diseases, providing expert consultation and treatment to patients. This role requires a compassionate professional with strong clinical and communication skills, committed to delivering high-quality patient care in a dynamic hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and manage diseases related to the digestive system and liver.
- Provide consultation and treatment plans for various digestive disorders.
- Develop appropriate treatment strategies and ensure consistent patient follow-up.
- Perform endoscopic procedures such as Upper GI Endoscopy and Colonoscopy, aligned with qualifications and hospital capabilities.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records while upholding quality standards in patient care.

Required Qualifications:
- MBBS degree with a recognized postgraduate qualification such as FCPS, MD, MRCP, or an equivalent credential in Gastroenterology.
- Valid PMDC registration with specialist credentials in Gastroenterology.
- Proven experience in diagnosing and treating digestive system and liver diseases.
- Strong expertise in managing gastric disorders, acidity, ulcers, hepatitis, fatty liver, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), and other gastrointestinal diseases.
- Excellent clinical skills combined with effective communication and patient counseling abilities.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits:
- Experience in performing Upper GI Endoscopy and Colonoscopy procedures is highly preferred.
- The position offers a full-time or visiting consultant role within the Medical/OPD department.
- Salary is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
